This eight-session workshop introduces the fundamentals of using R and RStudio. Crunch through statistics and create visualizations with ease!

Want to learn to code but not sure where to start? This eight-session workshop introduces fundamentals of Python, an accessible and powerful programming language.

Introduction to ArcGIS Online

This two-session workshop covers the basics of creating maps in ArcGIS Online, a browser-based GIS platform. Learn mapping skills through creating an environmental justice map. We have two offerings this term, so pick your preferred date!

ArcGIS Pro and the Makerspace: Laser-Cut Map Crafts

This fun, unique three-part workshop covers the basics of ArcGIS Pro and laser-cutting equipment in the makerspace. Learn the basics of GIS software by making beautiful laser cut maps! Choose between making a map notebook (February 2nd – 6th) or a map puzzle (February 16th – 20th).

Wrangling Data with Python

Designed to follow our Introduction to Python workshop, this six-session workshop teaches how to import, analyze and visualize tabular data with Pandas in Python.

GitHub Portfolios for Job Seekers

New! Interested in software development or data science? Learn how to create a free digital portfolio on GitHub to highlight your coding and career readiness skills for future employers & open-source projects.

Your Maps in Illustrator

Want more control over your map design, or just to learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator?  Come to Your Maps in Illustrator and learn the GIS to Illustrator workflow! Topics covered include exporting from GIS to Illustrator, cleaning up GIS files in Illustrator, and basic Illustrator functions.
